Biography With an extensive background that spans drawing, charcoals, and pencil, Kellie Jo has done work in sculpture and clay, but her passion is oil painting. Formally trained in drawing at Wright State University, she has been able to incorporate a three-dimension effect through oil painting. The canvases are layered with thick paint, giving them texture and depth. Finding Feathers Studio is a tribute to Kellie's grandmother who sadly passed away in 2003, but her memory lives on in her deep spiritual connection through Kellie's art. A personal statement from the artist: "As an artist, I highly value other people's input, style, and needs. I wish to create artwork that will have meaning in your own vision of aesthetic quality. I believe we all see things differently and beauty is reflected in our own personal tastes. I will take many considerations of your own ideas and put them onto canvas with my interpretations. Art is interpretive and complex. What I choose to create with your ideas will be focused directly and internally to canvas and together we can do something truly beautiful."
